Personal Producing General Agency (PPGA) System

An individual that sells insurance who relies upon the use of PPGAs. The Personal Producing General Agency System describes the independent contractor providing their own working environment, staff, equipment, time and methods management. A PPGA is paid on a form 1099 contractor basis and must provide all their own benefits and facilities. They may be large enough to require support staff, but many of them simply operate out of their homes.
