Treasury Shares

The portion of shares (stock) that a company keeps in their own treasury. Treasury shares may have come from a repurchase or buyback from shareholders, or they may never have been issued to the public. These shares don't pay dividends, have no voting rights, and shouldn’t be included in shares outstanding calculations.
