Accidental Death and Dismemberment

This describes a common group benefit plan coverage where insurance pays for a covered individual's permanent disfigurement, loss of a body part, permanent loss of use of a body part or function of the body, or death. This is a policy that pays benefits to the beneficiary if the physical harm or death is caused by an accident.
