  • Operates offset duplicating machine to reproduce typeset matter, drawings, graphs, and similar material by photo-offset process: secures printing plate in offset duplicating machine.
  • Moves controls to set offset duplicating machine for size and thickness of paper, to position printed impression, and to regulate flow of ink and speed of paper feed, according to material to be reproduced.
  • Starts offset duplicating machine and examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper, and registration.
  • Fills ink fountains and makes adjustments to machine throughout production run to maintain fountain solutions, specific registration, and color density.
  • Cleans, greases, and oils offset duplicating machine and components, removes paper jams, and adjusts cylinder pressure to maintain machine in working order.
