Job Summary

Description:
  • Generates photo or video images of soft-tissue objects inside the human body.
  • Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations, utilizing appropriate ultrasonic equipment to produce high frequency sound waves which create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.
  • Picks equipment for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination.
  • Specialized certification and completion of an approved course in medical sonography is typically required.
