Problem Statement

Easy-Access Consulting has obtained a contract with a major manufacturer of commercial resins located in Texas. To ensure success, the company agrees to send one of its chemical engineers, who earns $140,000 a year, to Texas for the duration of the contract (estimated for three years). The employee owns a 2,250 sq. ft. home, is married, has two children and owns two cars that are driven a total of 30,000 miles a year and have a value of $45,000. The temporary move will be from Easy-Access's Albany, NY offices to Addison, Texas. As a member of the project group, you have been asked to determine the relocation package for this employee, assuming the employee will rent a home for the duration of the assignment.
