Ballance Sheet Approach

202271

Term: Ballance Sheet Approach

Definition:This approach is the most commonly used method for compensating international assignees. It is often referred to as the home-based approach and keeps the assignee on their home compensation package. If necessary, allowances for housing and cost of living, for example, may be added to the package to keep the employee whole when the assignment location is more expensive than home.
