Term: High-Deductible Health Plan
Definition:A High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) plan is a type of PPO insurance plan with lower premiums and higher deductibles than a traditional PPO plan. Being covered by an HDHP is also a requirement for a Health Savings Account (HSA) which is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to taxpayers in the United States who are enrolled in a HDHP.
