Field Testing Technician Job Description

Description: Surveys and scopes out potential areas for proper concrete and soil field tests to determine viability of construction projects. Procures, conducts tests, and analyzes concrete, asphalt, grout, masonry and soil field samples utilizing testing methods such as slump, air, unit weight and temperature tests. Compiles and collects data from laboratory testing and generates reports to disseminate to contractors, clients, engineers, and project managers for evaluation. Prepares materials for laboratory testing, ensuring that testing equipment is properly calibrated. Maintains and preserves consistent testing environments to ensure results are accurate and non-biased.
