Job Summary

  • Installs color-coded wires and cables in subassemblies, such as fuse panels, control key assemblies, and relay panels, for punched-card office machines according to wiring diagrams and blueprints by any combination of following tasks: fastens eyelet or spade types of wire lugs to bolt or screw terminals, using wrenches and screwdrivers.
  • Inserts plug ends of wires and cables into jacks, using pliers or special insertion tools.
  • Attaches wire ends to terminal posts, using pneumatic wire-wrapping gun.
  • May test wiring continuity and connections, using ohmmeter, test lights, or other testing devices.
