  • Prepares estimates of costs to plan and provide or improve fish and wildlife protection, recreation, and visitor safety.
  • Selects, trains, and supervises park rangers.
  • Directs workers engaged in rescue activities and fire suppression in park area.
  • Investigates accidents, vandalism, theft, poaching, and other violations and presents evidence before court or designated legal authority.
  • Answers letters of inquiry and addresses visitors and civic organizations to inform public of park regulations and available recreational facilities, and to point out historical, and scenic features of park.
  • Prepares reports of area activities.
  • May maintain records of attendance, permits issued, and monies received.
