It includes the Monroe County Courthouse and Courthouse Square as well as the surrounding area, including several examples of 19th-century architecture. Forsyth is also home to the Confederate Cemetery, Tift College, and Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area.

  • Analyzes client's body movement awareness and functioning, and coaches and guides client to improve body-mind functioning and performance: Interviews client to understand individual's physical condition and reason for therapy, such as to decrease pain, improve flexibility, increase athletic performance, improve emotional expression, manage stress, or balance functioning of entire body.
  • Observes body movement patterns visually and tactilely to assess body-mind functioning and determine course of movement therapy.
  • Teaches awareness of body movement and new movement skills through methods, such as verbal instruction, suggestion to imagine new movements, touch signals, and hands-on guidance.
  • Conducts classes to teach students methods of spatial awareness and more effective and expressive movement habits.
  • Teaches clients/students methods of stress management and relaxation.
  • Evaluates effects of treatment and modifies course of therapy or instruction.
  • May demonstrate and recommend self-improvement exercises.
  • May stretch, massage, hold, shake, or brush client's body to promote range of movement, release tissue, stimulate or pacify nerves, and modify circulation of bodily fluids.
  • May role-play stressful situations to coach individual in expressing emotions non-verbally.
