Description:
  • Provides technical and metallurgical support to plant, inside sales, outside sales, and end users.
  • Coordinates between customers and plant on quality and technical issues.
  • Evaluates and develops products, processes, and equipment based on customer requirements.
  • Heads projects relating to the discovery and implementation of new and innovative materials and processes, and studies methods of improving metallurgical processes.
  • Develops and controls flotation, smelting, electrolytic, and other processes used in extracting metals from their ores or for refining metals.
  • Determines the most efficient methods of producing metals commercially by studying ore reduction problems.
  • Excludes paraprofessional positions.
