Job Summary

  • Inspects and tests completed instruments, such as master and gyro indicators, and their subassemblies, performing a variety of related duties.
  • Examines metal and glass parts for surface scratches and nicks, internal threads, position of assembled parts, presence of bonding adhesive at designated points, and adequacy of soldering.
  • Verifies dimensions of parts and location of holes, grooves, and other points according to blueprints, using measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and height and depth gauges.
