  • Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats variety of diseases, illnesses, and injuries to hospitalized patients.
  • Determines whether or not a patient needs to be admitted, upon discussion with Emergency Room Physicians, taking detailed history.
  • Oversees and coordinates every aspect of patient care while in the hospital, in place of their normal Primary Care Physician, until the patient is discharged.
  • Evaluates patient, performing examinations to determine degree of illness or injury.
  • Works closely with Medical Assistants, Nurses, Physicians, and others involved with in-patient care.
  • Administers or orders various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
  • Requires licensure as a Medical Doctor in internal medicine.
