Description: Provides patient care in the clinic, hospital, and other care settings with ambulatory care under the oversight of the clinical site director. Writes, revises and monitors assigned curricular areas and reviews and revises curriculum at least annually. Acts as an advisor for assigned residents, including meeting with advisees, preparing documentation for advisee(s), and developing individualized learning plans. Prepares and presents didactic lectures and leads group discussions. Supervises care provided by residents in the hospital that complies with regulations, organizational policies and procedures, and hospital regulations, and medical staff bylaws. Responds to requests for direct supervision in the office or hospital and remains available for indirect supervision, including giving advice and answering questions. Reviews medical records and co-sign notes as supervisory responsibility. Provides direct patient care to own patient panel in clinic sessions. Evaluates resident performance and advises Program Director on decisions regarding resident progression. Participates in recruitment and selection of each year's new resident class.
