What Does an Environmental Technician Do?

Creates methods and devices used in the prevention, control, and correction of environmental hazards, working closely with environmental engineers and scientists. Uses principles and theories of science and engineering to solve technical problems. Inspects and keeps equipment affecting air pollution and recycling maintained. Conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data for use by environmental, engineering, and scientific personnel in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil, utilizing knowledge of agriculture, chemistry, meteorology, and principles of applied technologies.
