Description:
  • Drafts and draws up specifications and instructions for installation of voltage transformers, overhead or underground cables, and related electrical equipment used to conduct electrical energy from transmission lines or high-voltage distribution lines to consumers.
  • Uses principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve technical problems.
  • Examines work order request to determine type of service, such as lighting or power, demanded by installation.
  • Prepares rough sketch of location after visiting site of proposed installation.
  • Work is more limited in scope and more practically oriented than that of engineers.
