Description:
  • Schedules and coordinates the activities of Nurse Anesthetists, and determines the who and how in administering anesthetics to patients during surgical procedures.
  • Administers local, inhalation, intravenous, and other anesthetics prescribed by Anesthesiologist to induce total or partial loss of sensation or consciousness in patients during surgery, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures.
  • Evaluates and monitors the effects of specific anesthesia, drugs, techniques, and patient reactions.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements procedures pertaining to the administration of anesthetics.
  • Requires RN degree and AANA certification.
