  • Compiles required and special reports on operating functions of department or branch.
  • Manages several direct reports, often including department heads.
  • Interview, select, and hire new employees.
  • Directs and oversees employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance with standard procedures and practices.
  • Develops and manages an appropriate organizational structure to ensure current and projected growth of the institution.
  • Guides and leads other members of management.
  • Develops and maintains a management development program.
  • Evaluates and appraises employees and administers rewards and disciplinary actions.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems from clients and employees.
  • Keeps abreast of government and financial regulations and ensures institutional compliance.
  • Controls supply of money on hand to meet branch's daily needs and legal requirements.
