Job Summary

Description:
  • Patrols route to clean and replace street light globes and illuminators: turns crank to lower street lights suspended from utility poles or stands in hydraulically operated tower-truck bucket to reach lamps installed on top of street light posts.
  • Removes and cleans globe or diffuse (lens).
  • Replaces defective illuminating elements, such as incandescent bulbs, fluorescent tubes, or carbon electrodes.
  • Performs repairs, such as replacing corroded reflectors and connecting loose wires.
  • Reports defects for repair by street-light servicer.
  • May drive truck.
