Establishments in this industry are primarily engaged in manufacturing small firearms with a bore of 30 mm (1.18 inches) or less, as well as their components. Additionally, this industry includes establishments that produce certain weapons exceeding 30 mm in bore size, provided they are designed to be carried and operated by an individual, such as grenade launchers and heavy field machine guns. However, establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing artillery and mortars with a bore greater than 30 mm are classified separately. Products within this industry include barrels, carbines, and complete firearms of 30 mm (1.18 inches) or less, as well as related components such as gun clips, cylinders, and magazines. Other products include grenade launchers, non-optical gun sights, and machine gun ammunition carts. Dart guns, excluding toys, are also part of this category.
