Poultry Processing and Production

Establishments primarily engaged in slaughtering, dressing, packing, freezing, and canning poultry, rabbits, and other small game, or in manufacturing products from these meats, either for their own account or on a contract basis for the trade. This industry also includes the drying, freezing, and breaking of eggs. Sample business functions include processed chickens (fresh, frozen, canned, or cooked), chicken slaughtering and dressing, processed ducks (fresh, frozen, canned, or cooked), duck slaughtering and dressing, egg albumen, egg substitutes made from eggs, canned, dehydrated, desiccated, frozen, and processed eggs, as well as egg drying, freezing, and breaking. Additionally, this industry includes the production of poultry frankfurters and small game (fresh, frozen, canned, or cooked).
