  • Provides data relevant to size, shape, contour, location, elevation, or dimensions of land or land features.
  • Plans, oversees, or conducts surveys of land areas using special high-accuracy techniques, including astronomical observations and complex computations.
  • Writes descriptions of land for deeds, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Supervises and coordinates surveys for mines and underground caverns for civil engineering and mining operations.
  • Drafts, draws and verifies the accuracy of mine survey schematics, maps and 3D models.
  • Ensures inherent risks and dangers associated with the given cavern are accounted for and clearly communicated to project staff.
  • Advises on project proposals utilizing data derived from initial surveys.
  • Supports project development with additional surveys as required.
  • Assists team on the usage of surveying equipment, systems and other devices.
  • Formulates written documentation on mine qualities, including safety concerns, valuation, and operation roadmaps.
  • Utilizes documentation towards obtaining proper permits and insurance certifications for the operation.
