  • Treats and provides nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit or Step-Down Unit of a hospital.
  • Readies equipment and aids Physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments to patients who have spent time in the ICU, have undergone major surgery or require close and specialized monitoring and frequent assessment, who are stable enough not to need Intensive Care Unit care, but who are not stable enough to be on a regular hospital floor.
  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  • Requires RN license.
