  • Coordinates the daily activities of the Office for the Protection of Research Subject (OPRS) and Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Oversees the confidential institutional review and approval process of all research activities involving human subjects to protect their safety, rights, and welfare.
  • Guides and trains research staff and investigators in compiling the correct and complete documents for submission to the IRB.
  • Contributes to the revisions and implementation of IRB forms, policies and procedures, as well as other resources for the research community.
  • Reviews all proposed research project submissions to the Institutional Review Board, including informed consent, to determine completeness and consistency with Federal guidelines and institutional requirements.
