  • Assists with activities of kitchen and dining-room workers during banquets to ensure that food is served promptly and guests are satisfied.
  • Converses with manager, catering, or executive chef on such items as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed.
  • Places orders for table linen, china, glassware, and silverware, as needed.
  • Observes food being served to ensure that food is correctly garnished and arranged on plates.
  • Sets up and transports designated wares, equipment, and food for banquet functions.
  • Responds to guest inquiries about hotel services/features and local attractions/activities.
  • Resolves guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assists with the transportation of soiled wares, trays/carts, and table top items from the kitchen line or banquet service area to the dishwashing station or other designated area.
  • Cleans coffee machine, sinks, counters, and surfaces in the banquet service area.
  • Washes wares, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, as assigned.
  • Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Checks the working condition of equipment and machinery and rectifies any deficiencies.
  • Reports any damages, maintenance problems, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Adheres to all sanitation and safety regulations as required by the hotel.
