Overview

This webinar is an overview of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). You'll learn what makes a position exempt vs. non-exempt and gain insight into a framework to properly classify positions. The course will define a process companies can follow to manage classifications, cover the current record keeping requirements, and also present some examples of solutions that help manage the classification analysis to meet evolving business needs. The technical aspects of the changes going in to effect on December 1, 2016 will be discussed in the context of broader job analysis for FLSA classifications. This webinar will focus primarily on the federal FLSA requirements with some examples of the state differences.

Lyle Leritz, PhD
Lyle Leritz is a Research Manager at ERI Economic Research Institute. Lyle has worked as a researcher and product manager at ERI for over a decade focusing on salary surveys, executive compensation, cost of living, and job analysis during that time. He received his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
