Term: Foreign Tax Credit
Definition:U.S. taxpayers on an international assignment may have to pay income tax to the host country and to the home country. However, to lessen the double taxation burden, they may be eligible to receive a foreign tax credit on their U.S. taxes for the taxes they pay to their host country.
