Benchmarking employer-provided employee health care benefits is the focus of the 2016 Health Care Benefits Benchmarking Survey report. Benefits data effective January 1, 2016 was provided by 71 respondents representing over 114,000 employees. Data for 119 medical plans and 77 dental plans in the United States was collected. The report provides a timely baseline for employers wishing to benchmark their health plan costs and practices with other employers. This is the ninth annual benchmarking survey published by ERI Salary Surveys. It provides current data that may be used to identify trends in health care costs and coverage so that informed decisions may be made for effective benefits management.
