- Supervises the activities of a team of coding clerks responsible for assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to medical records.
- Assures compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes coding personnel and processes and conducts audits to maintain accuracy and quality in medical coding.
- Identifies root causes of inaccuracies and implements solutions to ensure the quality of documentation.
- Contributes to developing strategic priorities, participates in audit projects, and provides education and training to the coding team based on audit findings.
