  • Orders supplies, such as skiing and skating rental gear and provisions.
  • Coordinates activities of custodial staff, food-service workers, and other resort employees to ensure availability of facilities on opening date.
  • Trains winter-sports instructors and service personnel.
  • Ensures that skating rink and ski slopes are suitable for use by public, notifying resort personnel to take appropriate action according to weather conditions.
  • Inventories supplies and keeps records of weather conditions.
  • Issues weather reports to resort management.
  • Arranges for snow removal from roads by public authorities.
  • May give instruction to guests in winter sports participation.
