Description:
  • Organizes or unionizes non-union companies or worksites.
  • Concepts and develops collective bargaining groups, recruits members, and advocates for workers' rights.
  • Designs and implements organizing campaigns to win Union recognition for unorganized workplaces, builds organizing committees, identifies issues, identifies and develops leadership, and aids and prepares workers for elections and/or strategic and recognition campaigns.
  • Articulates the Union's message to workers, and carries out internal and external organizing programs.
  • Motivates and organizes potential or existing members to protect their rights and improve the quality of their work lives.
  • Provides effective leadership to build and maintain a system designed to empower and mobilize workers through contract negotiation, contract enforcement, and to carry out the goals of the Union.
