  • Oversees the maintenance, operation, and improvement of parks and recreational facilities.
  • Supervises the maintenance and repair of parks, recreational facilities, and amenities, including playground equipment, sports fields, restrooms, and park structures.
  • Conducts routine inspections and identifies maintenance needs and safety hazards and coordinates repairs and improvements.
  • Directs landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting, to ensure parks and recreational areas are maintained.
  • Monitors irrigation systems to ensure functionality and water conservation.
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies for parks and recreation facility maintenance.
  • Manages a team of maintenance personnel, assigns tasks, provides guidance and professional training, and fosters a positive work environment.
  • Confirms compliance with safety regulations and standards for parks and recreational facilities.
  • Collaborates with the Parks and Recreation Manager to identify and prioritize park improvement projects, such as facility upgrades, landscape enhancements, and new amenities.
  • Assists in project planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Interacts with the public and addresses inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to parks and recreational facilities.
  • Participates in community events and meetings to promote the Parks and Recreation Department's initiatives and gather input from residents.
