Job Summary

Description:
  • Performs any combination of following tasks in dyeing textile products, such as garments, rugs, and drapes: loads and unloads dyeing machines, extractor, and tumbler.
  • Scrubs rugs with handbrush, soap, and water prior to dyeing.
  • Bleaches articles, under direction of dyer, to strip them of original colors preparatory to dyeing by immersing articles in vat.
  • May spread rug over steamtable and turn valves to admit steam through table and into rug, when dyeing rugs.
