  • Oversees and coordinates emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
  • Develops and implements emergency plans, training programs, and communication strategies for natural disasters, technological hazards, and other potential emergencies to protect the community during crises.
  • Collaborates with municipal departments, emergency services, and external agencies to create emergency response plans tailored to the community's needs.
  • Organizes and conducts emergency preparedness training for municipal staff, emergency responders, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
  • Promotes emergency response protocol awareness through workshops, seminars, and educational campaigns.
  • Allocates resources and personnel to incident sites.
  • Acts as point of contact during emergencies and provides guidance and support to emergency responders.
  • Designs communication strategies utilizing various communication channels, including social media, press releases, and emergency alert systems, to disseminate critical information to the public during emergencies.
  • Establishes communication networks with neighboring territories, state, and federal agencies to facilitate information sharing and aid.
  • Partners with municipal departments to identify and secure equipment, personnel, supplies, and other resources to support emergency response operations.
  • Maintains inventories of emergency response resources and coordinates their storage location.
  • Assesses damages and creates recovery plans.
