Job Description:
Assists with and participates in developing, maintaining, and improving employee relations and in coordination of activities resulting in the uniform and equitable treatment of employees. Assists in the gathering of information on employees' attitudes and feelings about factors that affect worker morale, motivation, and efficiency. Meets with management to discuss possible actions to be taken. A combination of over two years of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job. This position typically reports to the Employee Relations Manager and is the first level of supervision.: Explains rules, policies, procedures, and company and governmental regulations to employees and emphasizes the need for compliance. Assists manager in developing and implementing methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures and progress reports, in order to inform manager of current status or work activities. May prepare reports on employees' comments and actions taken. May train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. hide...show full description
