Job Description:
Performs economic studies, financial research, and analyses in order to forecast trends in various business conditions and to assist in economic planning. Studies economic and statistical data in area of specialization. To carry out responsibilities at this level typically requires a four-year degree in economics and excludes paraprofessional positions.: Devises methods and procedures for collecting and processing data, utilizing knowledge of available sources of data and various econometric and sampling techniques. Reviews and analyzes economic data in order to prepare reports detailing results of investigation, and to stay abreast of economic changes. Prepares reports, charts, and graphs of information developed. Determines forecasts and trends in various business conditions. Adapts new systems for use in economic planning and control. Recommends economic direction. May study financial and expense performance comparisons, working capital, rate or return, and depreciation. hide...show full description
