Job Description:
Responds to telephone requests for information concerning location of underground utility distribution lines. Informs construction contractors and others excavating near company installations of buried line locations to prevent safety hazards and damage to company equipment, utilizing plat and distribution line maps. A combination of six to twelve months of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job.: May update maps to indicate extensions and revisions of utility distribution lines within specified jurisdiction. May relay telephone reports of gas emergencies to specified personnel or radio customer service requests to mobile service crews.
