Job Description:
Collects fluid samples and examines geological data or tests geological samples to determine petroleum and mineral content. Typically requires two years of specialized training or an associate's degree in related technology.: Analyzes sample to determine potential productivity of formation. Moves controls on panel to fire charge into formation and to operate hydraulic mechanism that thrusts and seals probe into perforation. Analyzes fluid in sample to determine potential productivity of formation. Measures and records physical and geologic conditions in oil or gas wells, using instruments lowered into wells or by analysis of the mud from wells.
