Job Description:
Supervises employees engaged in test engineering activities. Supervises activities related to test engineering including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Supervises various sections of engineering. Assists in planning and establishing engineering schedules and following up performance against estimates. Supervises professional and paraprofessional test engineering personnel. A combination of over four years of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job. Typically reports to engineering manager level in the organization and is a first level supervisor.: Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. Supervises assembly of cost control and statistical data. Approves process specification and design standards. Assists in preparation and control of departmental annual budget. Assists in administration of personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel. May supervise development of material selection standards. May recommend new policies or procedures as necessary. May train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions. hide...show full description
