Job Description:
Manages and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the design and development of new or modified products. Coordinates the creation of blueprints and other engineering data. Plans and establishes engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates. A combination of over four years of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job. The manager level is typically the second level of management and may have first level supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller organizations the manager may be a first level supervisor.: Ensures accuracy of drawings and adherence to established organizational standards and objectives. Oversees compilation of cost control and statistical data. Manages development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Prepares and controls departmental annual budget. Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel. hide...show full description
