Job Description:
Supervises activities of operations research department of industrial or non-profit firm in accordance with established policies to further achievement of goals, objectives, standards, and profit goals. Provides guidance and technical assistance in engineering and scientific research methods to staff. A combination of over four years of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job. Typically reports to the Operations Research Manager.: Assists in directing research surveys and studies, compilation, and analysis of factors for presentation to management for approval or action. Assists in planning, developing and implementing new approved programs and ideas. Contributes to the preparation of department operating budget and controls research expenditures within approved limitations. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve department goals.
