Term: Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)
Definition:This law creates non-discrimination protection for people with disabilities, similar to the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 extended to other minorities. Under the law, employers may not refuse to hire a person due to his or her disability.
