QUESTION: When I try to eject the Platform Library DVD, an error message displays. Why did this happen?
Most likely, you installed one or more of's software applications to your computer's hard drive using the DVD. After installation, you removed the DVD from your computer's DVD drive without first closing the window.
If the Platform Library is selected as part of the installation, then it should automatically restart from its installed location. In that case, you should not have to close the Platform Library that was running from the DVD drive.
If the Platform Library is not selected as part of the installation, then it does not restart and it will continue running from the DVD. If the DVD is ejected while the Platform Library is running from the DVD, then an error message will display.
Other errors may also occur if the DVD is ejected while an Assessor Series application is running from the DVD. When the Assessor Series application attempts to read from the ejected DVD, an error message may display. For example, this could happen when you try to input a city in the Relocation Assessor:
