Job Summary

Description:
  • Plans, develops, maintains, and manages an organization's Workers' Compensation staff and program.
  • Recommends, establishes, and implements workers' compensation standards, policies, and procedures; and recommends and implements goals and objectives.
  • Investigates or oversees the investigation of accidents and injuries; reviews and processes claims and legal documents; participates in settlement negotiations; recommends loss control strategies; and develops strategies to handle specific cases in consultation with appropriate parties.
  • Approves workers' compensation payments once claims have been resolved.
