Description:
  • Teaches academic and living skills in schools, institutions, or other specialized facilities to students who have learning, mental, emotional, and/or physical disabilities.
  • Plans curriculum and develops lessons and other instructional materials according to achievement levels of students.
  • Modifies teaching strategies to meet each student's individual needs.
  • Confers with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individual educational program for students who are at different learning ability levels, including educable, trainable, and severely impaired, promoting their educational, physical, and social development.
