  • Operates street sweeping equipment, such as mechanical sweepers and vacuum trucks, and cleans streets, curbs, sidewalks, and other public areas.
  • Removes litter, leaves, dirt, and other debris from roadways and public spaces to prevent blockages in drainage systems.
  • Conducts spot cleaning in high-traffic or heavily littered areas.
  • Follows designated routes and schedules.
  • Performs routine maintenance checks on street sweeping equipment to ensure functioning and safety.
  • Reports equipment issues for repairs.
  • Identifies and reports hazardous road conditions, such as potholes, road markings, or signage issues.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines and traffic regulations while operating street sweeping equipment.
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations.
  • Works with other members of the Public Works Department and municipal staff to coordinate street sweeping activities with other maintenance operations.
  • Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines while conducting street sweeping operations, including proper disposal of collected debris and waste.
  • Records street sweeping activities, including routes covered, debris collected, and maintenance performed on equipment.
