Job Summary

  • Facilitates the patient flow in a medical facility, providing services necessary to schedule, register, and greet patients.
  • Schedules patients on a computerized system according to the organization's specifications; and receives and enters patient statistics, appropriate charges for the services rendered, and other pertinent information, allowing the clinic to track patient visits, ensure a smooth patient flow for appointments, and to bill for the services provided.
  • Greets patients and checks them to health care facility, verifies and/or updates their demographic and insurance information, and collects and posts the correct co-pay and/or office payment at the time of check in.
