  • Manages the process to restore normal (within service-level agreement) IT service operation as quickly as possible when there is an unplanned interruption to or a reduction in the quality of IT service, minimizing the impact to business operations.
  • Plans and coordinates all activities required to respond to and resolve incidents; and oversees and documents the process.
  • Monitors the incidents, and ensures the best possible levels of service quality and availability are maintained.
